CATS IN PARIS + THEO + JOY OF SEX - Sept 11, London

Samu.co.uk presents Londons best night of glorious sinister pop and noise.
11th Sept 08
The Good Ship, London

CATS IN PARIS www.myspace.com/catsinparis - Expect sweeping strings with chimes and glockenspiel, synth and recorder, chugging bass and acrobatic percussion & sweet instrumental breakdowns. Comparisons have been made to Deerhoof, Los Campesinos & Dirty Projectors, but the fact is they are simply a thoroughly modern band, who are surely spearheading the melodic noise scene
THEO www.myspace.com/theo1000 - Astunning guitarist, looping each intricate motif of melody driven energy over each other forming complex music. Then slinging his guitar onto his back, he plays tight drums over the top.
JOY OF SEX www.myspace.com/joyofsex - It's spiky, minimalist, arty and goes off in unexpected directions and the interplay between the 3 vocalists brings to mind a fusion of Prinzhorn Dance School and Wire.
SONGS FROM THE SHOWS www.myspace.com/songsfromtheshows - With no less than two bassists, expect Slint style spoken vocals mixed with juddering angular riffs and drumming that can only be described as 'epic'

Live VJ all night! And free sweets for early birds!

Doors 7:30pm. £4 entry £2 flyer or advanced.
