ASHLEY: They're a band from Leeds who also make a huge sound - but it's more of a cacophony of noise. I really didn't get them the first few times I saw them, but eventually their hooks just emerge from the music.
They make beautifuuly constructed songs that are usually quite short - between 2 and 4 minutes. And they all come together wonderfully on their debut LP 'Baby Machine' - it's incredible, just hit after hit. It never lets up - one of the best albums I've heard in years.
They haven't got anywhere near the credit they deserve really. Wu's vocals are really unique, swooping and exciting. Meanwhile the drumming is amazing - it's really machine gun-like at times.
DAVE: Their riffs are heavy as sin - it might put some people off but they have these big, metal style riffs. They're put into such a complex arrangement that it makes everything sound just beautiful. It's all so perfect - and I'm not even into metal!
