Pegasus!

Trawling through the latest list of tunes recommended by Artrocker readers, I came across this gem of a band.

Imagine if you took the essence of David Axelrod and The Electric Prunes and distilled that into tabs of acid. Imagine then, that the guy who edits The Wire dropped those tabs and decided to mix all of the records in his collection into a single tune. That's the sound of Pegasus!

They're originally from Dundas, Ontario, Canada - drinking from the same water supply as Dan Snaith's Caribou, Koushik (Stones Throw) and Junior Boys - and they moved over to London Town in early 2003.

They're currently rehearsing their live set, ready to unleash on the masses. Which will be something to experience.

We'll be uploading their ' Wolf Gang vs. Pegasus!' mp3 soon. Interestingly & appropriately, this track is featured on Bruce LaBruce's (myspace.com/brucelabruce) upcoming 2007 feature film zombie soundtrack.
