AR:Hello White Denim. What are you doing right now? Or right before responding to this email... WD:We're on tour, getting ready to leave the hotel and head in the treacherous snow to Des Moines!
All we can do is work hard.
AR:Why did you decide to make two videos for 'Let's Talk About It'?
WD:We didn't decide to make any videos, our friends did them and posted on youtube. They're both "unofficial".
AR:Which is your favourite?
WD:They're both friends of ours, wouldn't want to fight either of them because they are both tough. [Ed's note: YOU decide dear reader. You can see both at www.whitedenimmusic.com]
AR:Are you afraid of the buzz around you guys at the moment? Or do you EMBRACE THE BUZZ?
WD:Dames is afraid, Dosh is dumb about it, and Deve pretends it doesn't exist.
AR:Is your debut album finished?
WD:Yes.
AR:Are you happy with it?
WD:No, it's a stinker psych it's tight. [editor's note: I have no idea what this response means]
AR:What does it sound like?
WD:I'm not sure, but what I do know is that there are flourishes.
AR:Are there any tracks you don't like?
WD:No
AR:Are you proud to be from Austin, Texas?
WD:None of us are from Austin, but we all love living here.
AR:Why's that?
WD:Great food, Mohawk, Transmission, the weirdos, abundance of places to play, 10 minutes and you're in the country, great weather, don't have to book a hotel room during SXSW.
AR:Each of your songs are rammed with the same amount of ideas most bands spread across entire albums, or careers even. What inspires you?
WD:You saying that each of our songs are rammed with the same amount of ideas most bands spread across their entire careers.
AR:Are you restless?
WD:Never.
AR:Can you keep it up?
WD:All we can do is work hard. Hear the fruits of that hard work when White Denim release their debut album in a month or so. Expect foaming at the mouth review on this very website in the near future...
